This new system of innovation is setting the stage for a stronger next generation economy built on the foundation of work that originates in Alberta and benefits the globe.

Alberta Innovates - Technology Futures (AITF) is creating partnerships and support to quickly turn critical research into products, processes and services and move these technologies to market.
This new, collaborative organization is building on Alberta's already established advantage in areas such as resource-based technologies, nanotechnology, information communications technologies and genomics to strengthen capacity within Alberta's high-tech companies. AITF provides access to key partners that help support commercialization and grow new ventures. It's investing in and attracting research and entrepreneurial talent to support these priorities.
Technology Futures offers one-stop shopping where industry can go to commercialize technology. Because of our strong connections with the other organizations within Alberta Innovates, we’re providing the integrated solutions right here in Alberta.

All programs managed by the Alberta Research Council are intact and functional - we continue to work with 950 partners and clients each year on market-ready technologies in energy, life sciences, water, agriculture, environment, forestry and manufacturing. Our specialized facilities and world renowned expert researchers are now further enhanced by increased connectivity within Alberta's innovation system.
